To commemorate its 125th Anniversary, DOXA is presenting two unique novelties, which combine the best of its rich history with today’s state of the art technology and contemporary design.


DOXA 125 years: Festive Anniversary Celebration

The new orange booth of DOXA at this year’s BASELWORLD was the perfect location for a festive anniversary celebration. Between showcases with treasures from the past, DOXA’s CEO, Mr. Romeo F. Jenny was very pleased to present two novelties to the assembled guests. As he unveiled the glass globes, he introduced the DOXA 8 DAYS MANUFACTURE and the BLUE PLANET timepieces. Both watches, specially designed for the 125th anniversary, manufactured in a limited series, reflect DOXA’s close ties to its history and commitment to safeguarding our «Blue Planet».

In 1907 DOXA was the first Swiss watch company to patent the 8 DAYS caliber movement. Some of these original movements are still in storage and will now be polished to new glory to make the DOXA 8 DAYS MANUFACTURE tick with tradition to the future, making each of this limited series a perfect representative of DOXA’s heritage. Not only Mr. Jean Daniel Pasche, Director of the Swiss Federations of the Watch Industry, appreciated the high precision workmanship of this collector’s piece of art.

The BLUE PLANET is DOXA’s newest masterpiece in the GrandeMetre series. It unites perpetuity and infinity of time and space, symbolized by the sparkling dark blue aventurine dial. On the case back a delicate engraving of our world; our «Blue Planet» completes the overall symbolic character of this GMT watch.

A strategy in complete harmony with the market trends in Asia, as Mr. Allen Lau, DOXA’s very successful representative for the Asian market pointed out. He congratulated Romeo F. The buzz in the DOXA booth was proof of the evening’s big success. Guests from near and far enjoyed this great opportunity to meet and discuss the world of watch making in the elegant DOXA booth. Mr. Romeo F. Jenny, his sister, Mrs. Patrizia N. Jenny, and their father, Mr. Peter P. Jenny, mingled with the honored guests and made sure that everybody had his or her picture taken as a souvenir of the 125th anniversary.
